As a photographer my profession is to portray the world in my vision to the audience so that they can better understand my point of view. Essentially, I explore the relationship between mundane architecture and society. Ever since I left San Antonio and began my life in Austin, I found it typically fascinating in traveling to small towns and exploring a less crowded metropolitan.

            When I travel around Texas, I photograph my work with a DSLR camera during daylight time and create images in golden hour so that shadows aren’t that harsh. I photograph this way because the images themselves have almost an enchanted orange tone to them.  The idea behind my work is to take a step back from the swarming city life and take in the small-town aesthetic feeling. My goal as an artist is to take individuals to where I have been and optimistically feel as if they are there along with me.
